
Jennifer Peters
PTAJennifer is a native of Bedford County and now enjoys life in Botetourt County. She is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a BS in Sports Medicine. She then went on to graduate from Jefferson College of Health Sciences Physical Therapist Assistant program. She has been a member of the Lucas Therapies team since 1998. Jennifer brings with her experience with track, gymnastics, soccer and volleyball athletes. As a previous industrial employee she brings additional knowledge to the company for working with employers as well as employees. She has extensive background in workers compensation injuries and industrial rehabilitation. She is part of our on-site physical therapy team working with injured workers at their place of employment to return them safely to their full duty jobs. She has worked with many patient’s and/or employers for vocation placement options, work hardening programs and transitional work programs. She also holds certifications in ergonomic assessments both office and industrial as well as pre-employment testing.
Jennifer is an avid reader and enjoys spending time creating scrapbooks. She also enjoys playing volleyball, rollerblading and hiking. She is now a ‘Navy Mom’ and enjoys watching both of her young adult children as they embark on their life journeys. Though not a professed “handy man” she is not afraid to try DIY projects.
