Sara grew up in Roanoke where she graduated from Cave Spring High School. Sara went on to graduate from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise then Jefferson College of Health Sciences back in Roanoke with her Physical Therapist Assistant degree.
Before joining Lucas Therapies, Sara spent 3 years in home health treating a wide variety of degenerative diagnoses with special interest in knee and hip replacements, cancer, balance, and dementia. Sara has now returned to her initial love of outpatient to help those with sports orthopedic injuries. Sara believes her history of bilateral hip labral tears from years of dancing help her to show empathy and understand what it takes to recover from surgery. In Sara’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and high school sweetheart, Chris, and their golden retriever, Sadie. Sara still loves the art of dance as well as being creative in all ways. Sara also enjoys anything outdoors including kayaking, walking the greenway, and going to Smith Mountain Lake.
